Furniture Repair Technician | NYC
Fernish is growing and we are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual who wants to join our team in Secaucus, NJ! Our ideal candidate has experience in being a handyman, furniture carpentry, and wood refinishing (refurbishment, painting, and laminates). Prior experience sanding with a belt sander is a plus.
Hours: Mon-Fri 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Location: Secaucus, NJ

- 2+ years as a Carpenter/Handyman working with wood/pressed wood
- Color matching
- Knowledge of Power tools (i.e., belt sander, pneumatic compressor, power drill)
- Hand Sanding - various grades
- Painting - aerosol cans and spray gun
- Ability to lift, lower, push, or pull furniture up to and in excess of 100lbs (with assistance if needed)
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- High School Diploma/G.E.D. or verifiable references
- Certification in refurbishment (wood repair) is a plus
