Software Engineer - GraphQL API

Are you a Software Engineer who is well-versed in cloud services and committed to continuously fine-tuning software?

What you will be doing:

The Software Engineer will design, develop, and deploy a large scale GraphQL (Quantum API) service.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the leadership team to understand PassiveLogic's business needs
• Build and prototype new services for our building automation platform
• Work with components including API design, distributed database design, and data collection and aggregation — all with a focus on security and scalability

You must have:

• B.S. in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of backend Software Engineering and Software Design experience
• Self-motivation, passion for technology, and a strong drive for results and continuous improvement
• Strong knowledge of software modeling methods
• Experience in multiple software paradigms, including data-driven, OOP, functional, and protocol-oriented software design
• Strong data-model design skills
• Experience in GraphQL
• Experience in reactive programming

You should have:

• An understanding of database principals and are comfortable writing SQL
• Experience mentoring and guiding junior team members

It’s helpful to have:

• A foundational understanding of autonomous systems design
• A strong knowledge of Linux
• A strong understanding of the principles of differentiable programming
• Swift language development experience
• Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
• Security background
• PostgreSQL experience
