What you will be doing

As a Senior Industrial Designer, you will be responsible for helping lead and manage the design process for new products, developing and executing design strategies, and ensuring that design projects are delivered on time and within budget.

This position will:

• Drive the design process from concept through production, ensuring that designs meet user needs, brand standards, and technical specifications. This includes producing the following deliverables: design briefs, research and analyses reports, concept sketches, prototypes, 3D models, renderings, design guidelines and specifications, packaging and labeling design, and support for manufacturing/post-production
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and marketing professionals, to create innovative, functional, and visually appealing designs that meet user needs and business objectives
• Conduct research and analysis to identify user needs, market trends, and competitive landscapes
• Create and present design concepts and solutions to internal and external stakeholders, incorporating feedback into the design process
• Help develop and maintain design guidelines, style guides, and design language systems to ensure brand consistency across all products and platforms
• Stay up-to-date with emerging design trends, technologies, and techniques, and apply them to design projects as appropriate
• Manage design timelines, ensuring that projects are delivered on time

You must have

• Bachelor's or Masters of Industrial Design
• 6+ years of Industrial Design (or related field)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply a user-centered design approach to complex design challenges
• Strong visualization and storytelling skills
• Excellent time management skills, attentional to detail, and the ability to think and act strategically and proactively
• 3D CAD modeling proficiency (preferably in Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor)
• Experience with Adobe products - Illustrator, Photoshop, etc
• Proficiency in rapid prototyping methods
• Proficiency in Keyshot or other rendering software

You should have

• Experience in industrial design of consumer electronics
• Experience working with complex assemblies and geometries
• Experience managing CMF in manufacturing
• Knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes and materials

It’s helpful to have

• UX, Animation, or other adjacent skill sets
• Experience with manufacturers overseas
• Experience designing for manufacturing
