What you will be doing
This position is for an electrical engineer with a love of product development and innovation. You will assist in designing and implementing electronics for the PassiveLogic ecosystem, which may include developing a wide range of compute, automation, sensor, and wireless product solutions. Projects are diverse and require a wide array of expertise ranging from compute engines, environmental sensors, offline power supplies, industrial networking, to wireless communications.

You must have
- A B.S. in Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent in experience
- 5+ years experience as an Electrical Engineer
- Hands-on rapid prototyping skills and exceptional circuit and firmware debugging skills
- Hands-on experience in testing of electronic products using high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, waveform generators, and debugging tools
- Ability to contribute individually, architecturally, and in group/pair programming
- Strong knowledge of PCB design and CAD tools (Altium preferred)
- Experience with off-line power supply design
- Experience with high-speed digital design
- Experience with signal chain and analog/ADC front-end design
You should have
- Experience with designing, developing, testing, and deploying firmware from R&D to product levels
- Experience translating conceptual design into a production-ready detailed design, including complete bills of materials, Electrical Schematic, and PCB Layout drawings
- Experience researching supply chain options and supporting the manufacturing process
It’s helpful to have
- Experience with battery/low power consumption systems
- Knowledge of industry electrical safety standards, EMI standards, and calibration process
- Experience with radio interfaces (i.e. wifi & bluetooth)
- Experience with different sensor systems
- Experience with block diagrams, parts lists, and design review packages for complex electronics
