About the Role

As Head of Verification and Validation, you'll shape the V&V strategy for a cutting-edge building management ecosystem, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of both hardware and software at scale. This is a career-defining opportunity to lead a high-impact team, influence industry standards, and drive innovation in smart infrastructure.

What you’ll do

Define and execute the V&V strategy. Develop and implement a comprehensive verification and validation framework that ensures the reliability, security, and performance of a complex hardware/software building management product ecosystem.

Lead a high-impact V&V team. Build, mentor, and manage a global team of builders and makers in robustness testing, system verification and validation, physical plant emulation, and UI/UX testing.

Drive automation and scalability. Architect automated testing pipelines, simulation and emulation environments, and continuous validation processes to support rapid iteration and deployment at scale.

Collaborate across engineering and product teams. Engage with crossfunctional teams during the architecture phase across the product stack to ensure good product definition, following of good design practices, and ensure testability.

Adapt to what's next. Don't just help build a product, help us build the company. Drawing on your experience and vision, you define the directions we should take and help us execute toward them

You must have

  • Proven technical leadership experience: 7+ years of engineering experience, with demonstrated leadership beyond individual contributor responsibilities.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills: Ability to communicate and collaborate across technical disciplines and across all levels to drive decisions.
  • Organized and strategic: Skilled in planning roadmaps, architectures, and initiatives, independent of detailed guidance.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment, eager to learn, iterate, and innovate.
  • High ownership: You own this role. When issues arise, be the empowered force that solves them.

You should have

  • Software development and/or testing experience: Coding experience in at least one of C, Swift, or Python is a plus.

It’s helpful to have

  • Automation experience: Previous experience in building automation, industrial automation, or similar field will be helpful.
  • Autonomous systems experience: Background in developing, commercializing, or researching complex autonomous systems.
  • Direct management experience: 2+ years in a management role is a plus
