About the Role

We’re looking for a very specific kind of brain:

Part strategic finance architect, part market anthropologist, part data-systems engineer.

Someone who can take a chaotic, multi-variable world and turn it into models that behave like little universes, explaining what drives outcomes and what levers actually matter.

What we’re not looking for: An accountant. A spreadsheet jockey. Someone whose modeling method is “add another tab called Final_v7_REAL.”

Instead, you love architecting durable, elegant model systems, not one-off calculators.

You’re obsessed with how technology works, why customers adopt it, how ecosystems form, and what unseen forces shape markets.

What you’ll do

• Build simulation-grade pro formas and financial models that drive product strategy, pricing, capital planning, and long-range decision-making.

• Architect market frameworks across regions (EU, US, APAC), including regulatory triggers and adoption curves.

• Analyze customer behavior, partner economics, and ecosystem dynamics to uncover hidden leverage.

• Run pricing tests, cohort analyses, and scenario trees for major product and market decisions.

• Build data pipelines and dashboards that keep the team tapped into real-world signals.

• Translate complex findings into narrative insights for leadership and board conversations.

• Deliver models that don’t just report—they advise, simulate, and reveal strategy.

What you’ll bring

You must have

• BS/BA in economics, finance, data science, business, engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years in strategic finance, data modeling, or market analysis roles.
• A portfolio of your best models—we care about craft.
• Deep experience with financial modeling, market research, or analytics.
• Proven ability to build complex, elegant spreadsheet systems—operational software disguised as rows and columns.
• Comfortable across multiple tools—you haven’t spent your life locked inside Excel.
• Collaborative, ownership-minded, and able to reconcile multiple viewpoints.

You should have

• Experience with logistics, manufacturing, or complex hardware/software ecosystems.
• Programming ability (Python, JavaScript, Swift, Julia, R, etc.).
• Experience with data-science tools (SQL, Pandas/NumPy, dbt, Jupyter, etc.).
• Experience designing data workflows or lightweight ETL.
• Ability to model unit economics for hardware + software business models.
• Experience performing structured market research.
• Familiarity with cost curves, adoption curves, and ecosystem formation.

It’s helpful to have

• Understanding of regulatory-driven markets (energy, building automation, labor, logistics, AI governance).
• Experience modeling multi-market rollouts, marketplaces, or partner ecosystems.
• Experience with HVAC, industrial systems, logistics modeling, or labor markets.
• Experience with simulation, scenario trees, Monte Carlo, or probabilistic modeling.
• Understanding of how capital-intensive, manufacturing-heavy markets behave.
• Experience forecasting adoption for disruptive or platform technologies.
