About the Role

In this role, you’ll work across stills, motion, and interactive content, collaborating closely with product, marketing, and engineering teams to craft visuals that explain, persuade, and inspire—refining story, pacing, and clarity across formats.
What you’ll do
Translate complex ideas into clear visual narratives : Turn abstract and deeply technical concepts into visuals that are intuitive, engaging, and easy to understand
Design 2D across key channels: Design 2D presentations, videos, product visuals, and marketing materials
Create storyboards, animatics, and visual concepts to communicate narrative flow
Develop motion graphics and animated sequences (where appropriate)
Maintain consistency with our brand and systems: Maintain visual consistency with brand and product design systems. Ensure consistency across formats and fidelity levels.
Collaborate across teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine story, pacing, and clarity
Iterate quickly without sacrificing craft: Make fast, thoughtful refinements while maintaining high visual quality

You must have
Proven experience: 5+ years work experience in graphic/motion design or a similar role
Exceptional communication skills: Ability to translate abstract or deeply technical concepts presented by leadership and team members ideas into clear visual narratives. Ability to clearly explain design decisions to cross-functional stakeholders
Organized and strategic: Skilled in planning and executing multi-step creative projects—managing timelines, scope, and deliverables with strong attention to detail
Collaborative mindset: Enjoy working across product, marketing, and engineering teams to refine story, pacing, and clarity through visual work
Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment, eager to learn, iterate, and innovate
Problem solving: You own this role. When issues arise, be the empowered force that solves them, rolling-up.
You should have
Strong portfolio demonstrating visual storytelling (not just isolated assets)
Fluency in 2D design tools: Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar
Solid understanding of composition, lighting, color, and visual hierarchy
Ability to think narratively: Beginning, middle, and end—not just aesthetically
Experience working across still, motion, and spatial visuals
Experience maintaining visual consistency with brand and product design systems
It’s helpful to have
Experience with motion design: After Effects, Motion, etc.
Experience visualizing technical, architectural, or systems-level concepts
Basic scripting or expression experience
Experience within multiple disciplines is celebrated

This role is based in our Salt Lake City headquarters. We believe that creativity and cohesion flows best when we are all together. That’s why all of our teams work from one of our office locations, five days a week.
