Role: Director of Partnerships (Remote, East Coast US)

Role Overview: As we scale our partner ecosystem across new geographies and product lines, we are looking for a strategic and results-driven Director of Partnerships to own and grow our external relationships. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role suited for a relationship builder and commercial operator who thrives at the intersection of strategy, technology, and the short-term rental industry. You will be accountable for the health of our existing partner portfolio, the development of new strategic alliances, and Turno's presence in the markets and events that matter most.

This role reports directly to the CEO. You will be joining as a team of one, with the expectation of operating as a lean, independent function for the near term. The ideal candidate is comfortable owning the full scope of partnership activity and knows how to prioritize ruthlessly to maximize impact. Travel is a key part of this role — you should expect to be on the road up to 20% of the time for conferences, partner visits, and market development activities.

Key Responsibilities

Partner Relationship Management

  • Own and manage strategic relationships with dozens of active proptech partners, serving as the primary point of contact and executive sponsor for key accounts.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with key strategic partners to assess performance, surface opportunities, and drive growth.
  • Develop and maintain partner health scorecards, tracking engagement, revenue contribution, and growth trajectory.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure partners receive timely support and resolution.

Business Development & New Partnerships

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new strategic partnerships across emerging and international markets aligned with Turno's growth plans.
  • Lead end-to-end partnership negotiations, including deal structure, commercial terms, and contract execution.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective partners, prioritizing opportunities that expand Turno's reach, capabilities, or revenue.
  • Define the partnership strategy for new markets and verticals as Turno expands globally.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with tech teams to ensure partner integrations are scoped, prioritized and launched successfully.
  • Support new product launches by coordinating partner enablement, co-marketing activities, and joint go-to-market execution.
  • Work with Marketing to develop co-branded materials, case studies, and campaigns that amplify partnership value.
  • Align with Sales and Customer Success to ensure partner-sourced opportunities are properly tracked and supported.

Performance & Reporting

  • Report on partnership performance metrics including revenue generation, user growth, activation rates, and partner satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain dashboards and reporting cadences that provide leadership with clear visibility into the health of the partnership ecosystem.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the portfolio and proactively present recommendations to stakeholders.

Brand & Industry Presence

  • Coordinate and manage Turno's presence at industry conferences across the US and international markets, driving brand recognition and partner engagement.
  • Represent Turno as a spokesperson and brand ambassador to external audiences including partners, prospects, and industry organizations.
  • Identify sponsorship, speaking, and networking opportunities that strengthen Turno's position in the short-term rental ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in partnerships, business development, or strategic alliances, with a track record of managing complex, high-value external relationships.
  • Working knowledge of the Property Management System (PMS) and Online Travel Agency (OTA) ecosystem – including platforms such as Guesty, OwnerRez, Hospitable, Airbnb, and Vrbo – and how they connect to downstream service providers.
  • Experience representing a brand at industry conferences and events, including speaking, networking, and booth/activation management.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating and structuring partnership agreements.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to present Turno's value proposition compellingly to external audiences including C-level executives.
  • Highly organized and self-directed — comfortable operating autonomously in a remote-first, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting international market expansion and managing partners across multiple geographies.
  • Familiarity with APIs and software integration processes — ability to liaise with technical teams.
  • Experience working with or within a marketplace or platform business model.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and partnership management platforms.
  • Existing network within the vacation rental or property management industry.
